I did one of the most dreaded things ever yesterday… tried on bathing suits. It was never a fun thing to do pre-kids, but post kids it really sucks. Pre-kids all I had to worry about was what top gave my extremely small chest a little oomph. Post kids, I need to consider the unsightly veins on my legs, extra cellulite from bad genes and age, the baby pooch from two kids, my still small chest, and the absolute worse… back fat. Back fat is just wrong. It’s just plain wrong.

However, I refuse to let it win. I will not throw in the towel. Do you hear me stubborn back fat? You are on my black list and you will be gone! I have lost all of my pregnancy weight except for the last five pounds. That last five is lingering around my middle section (too bad it’s not my top half). Twice I have lost the weight by a lot of walking, strength training, and following the Abs Diet for Women along with the principles of You On A Diet. Both of these books teach you that by altering what you eat, you are making a lifestyle change. There isn’t a quick fix; you need to consume a healthy well-rounded diet and exercise.

The hardest part about both of these plans is actually making the time to do it. I say making, because no matter how busy you are you can always find 10-20 minutes somewhere in the day. The trick is finding something that really pisses you off enough to motivate you into reaching your goal. I initially lost the weight because I was motivated to fit into my regular size. Well, I dropped two sizes and can now fit into most of my pre-pregnancy clothes. That’s when I stopped finding the motivation and making the time to continue exercising. I’m at a healthy weight (Ideal Body Weight Calculator) and not even close to being chubby. Nevertheless, I am not happy or comfortable with the way that I look in a bathing suit, hence my new motivation.

Women come in all different shapes and sizes, from Eva Longoria to Laila Ali. Everyone should be happy with who they are and the shape of their body. The Abs Diet for Women and You On A Diet can absolutely change the way your body feels and even the way it looks. So, if you are comfortable with the way you look, great. If you are ready to make a change, then find your motivation because today is the day.
